We need leaders. Children are waiting to join our Scout group. Our Cubs pack is currently full — not because we lack children eager to join, but because we don’t have enough adults to lead them.

Help at Scouts

Scouts gives young people aged 10½ to 14 the chance to take the lead, try new things and challenge themselves in a safe, supportive place.

As a Scout Team Member at 51st Ipswich Scouts, you’ll help young people build confidence through adventure, teamwork, outdoor skills, camps, water activities, community action and learning by doing. You might help set up an activity, support a patrol, share a skill, come along to camp or help young people turn their ideas into a plan.

You don’t need to know all the answers. Scouts is about giving things a go, working as a team and helping young people do their best — not be the best.

If you can help on Friday evenings during term time, you’ll be helping young people in Ipswich feel supported, trusted and ready to take on their next challenge.
