51st Ipswich Scouts
Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. We run an exciting program of events dictated by what our young people enjoy.
Last Friday was our last week before breaking up for the summer holidays, so to celebrate we spent it together at the beach building sandcastles and sand turtles, swimming and burying one another! We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday! - The Scout Leadership Team. ❤︎
The Beavers visited RNLI Aldeburgh and had a fantastic tour and talk. They learned about what happens from the initial 999 call to the coastguard, the pager alerts, who’s first person to get ready, who takes charge, time it takes to get dressed through to how the boat is launched. This included finding out about the support staff on the beach and how everything is washed down after a call out. They even found time to try on various items of kit.
Last night we held our annual AGM and presentations of awards and badges. ![]()
